Hans von Tettau

Hans Bernhard Carl Otto von Tettau was a decorated General of the Infantry in the Wehrmacht during the Second World War who held commands at the divisional and corps level. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. This decoration, especially the higher grade with Oak Leaves, was awarded to recognise battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
